Il mio nonno materno
figlio di un agricoltore
diventato importante chirurgo
sognava un figlio maschio
che potesse studiare medicina
senza le fatiche
che aveva fatto lui.
Penso sia bene
che non l’abbia avuto.
Ieri sono stata interrogata
sul mio studio della medicina
in condizioni difficili.
Non ricordo nessuna
particolare fatica.
Per me è stata
un’impresa naturale.
Penso che la conoscenza
familiare degli ostacoli
mi abbia semplificato le cose.
